i'm pleasantly surprised that people actually randomly browse blogs when i read the comments, I guess they just want to know a little bit more about the other worlds out there :) Each person has his or her own worlds and his blog is just like a small window to catch a glimpse into that world. Thats provided if he blog properly. hehe.
I believe that pictures speak a thousand words, therefore i'll update with more pictures. A digital cam is a godsend.
recently i'm feeling calm. received sms from weilun@wales. suddenly the world feeels small. even though i'm not at russia, i can feel the cold, i can feel the dread. even though i'm not at japan, i can feel the people, i can feel the houses. this is the power of imagination, here sitting on my chair, life comes to a stand. I can here the hamsters behind me, and i can shut them out if i want to. Imagination is the key.
What many people cannot understand, including the foreign minister , is that there isn't any box. They always say "Think outside of the box", and this is exactly how u should reply, "There is no box". Feel proud about it. Imagination is the key here.
Quotes..
Only after the Last Tree has been cut down,
Only after the Last River has been poisoned,
Only after the Last Fish has been caught,
Only then will you find that
Money Cannot Be Eaten.
-Cree Indian Prophecy
And it is true. We are blinded by money. And sometimes i feel guilty of that. But we all know that the last fish, river, tree is still some way down the road because of many anti-campaigns. these are good. there is balance in the force yet..

Science is ...
these are some of my thoughts recently.. its becoming worse and worse.. i think that science is corrupting us all.. and so is our thinking and mentality.. we are becoming robots of survival.. i was shocked that my friend's friend told her that we should sometimes give up our family in order for self survival , even if it means you will not be filial. i think we are becoming robots, emotionless and unforgiving, if a target is to be eliminated to enable the better growth of self, we should do it, and i think thats the way sciecne is corrupting us.. we are governed by logic and math , physics and chemistry, we are now able to clearly weigh out the cons and pros.. if it means killing a person to be a pro.. we should do it really.. wait i think i typed that wrongly, i mean we shouldnt be doing that. why is society doing this to us, we are supposed to be kind, forgiving souls who wont kill trees to burn them for warmth for ourselves.. we arent supposed to be living with electricity and stuff.. man.. i think we are becoming a deadly parasite to thsi very earth.. we are gonna kill this earth i tell you now if we dont stop our stupid thkning, all those scientists who think they can defy the odds they are just dumb what are they thinking, how can you even create something as DEFYING AS AN ELECTRIC bulb in the past? you guys are insane.. now look at this other topic, man are really becoming more bad, all the bad thigns previously regarded as bad are now becoming acceptable , i think that's really sad and i'm upset that people are trying to change things to amuse themselves, such as doing something 'creative' like making a piece of wood into a piece of 'artistic' chair, i mean, why cant it be JUSt a chair, why make it an artistic one? u sacrifice more wood to make those and i think its just a really bad thing.

Movies
you know it when you go to a movie without looking thru IMDB (which is a movie database with reviews and comments), there's only 3 reasons possible:
1. You didnt bother to check and tries your luck (often leading to bad results)
2. You believe in the opinion of your friends and tries your luck (either good or bad)
3. You have trust in that line of film.
And the third option is exactly what happens with Star Wars Episode III. hell the entire GV is booked from 7pm onwards, and the Citibank Gold Class was OWNED within 2 hours when available for booking (source: Rich). Nice isn't it.
Now, let the march of the empire begin...

Somethings
Back.
I'm a mage. Do you know how people harvest salt in China?
They spray saltwater over a wide sparse of land. Salt falls out and the salt is collected.

Quotes
The one I like best:
Sadness over a bird killed, but no sadness over a fish killed. Lucky are those with voices. [Saitou Ryokuu; 斎藤緑雨; Japanese Author of Meiji Era]
Others:
Tears at times have all the weight of speech. [Plato; Πλάτων Plátōn; Greek Philosopher]
I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think. [Socrates; Σωκράτης Sōkrátēs; Greek Philosopher]
The more I study religions the more I am convinced that man never worshipped anything but himself. [Sir Richard Francis Burton]
Do not try to think outside the box. That's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth. There is no box. [Zen & The Matrix] (this is the same as the one which happened with NEO in Matrix 1. Aka. "There is no Spoon")
Have no friends not equal to yourself. [Confucius; 孔子; Chinese Philosopher]
Our scientific power has outrun our spiritual power. We have guided missiles and misguided men. [Some War-Movie]
Psychotics build castles in the sky, neurotics live in them, and psychologists collect the rent. [Same War-Movie]
It is a man's own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways. [Buddha; Buddhism]
Rather fail with honor than succeed by fraud. [Sophocles; Σοφοκλης; Greek Philosopher]
Hilarious One:
Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of congress; but I repeat myself. [Mark Twain]
AND the most gay one:
"With great powers, comes great responsibility." [Spiderman]

Faith & the 1337

Maybe it was me, maybe it wasn't. My previous post was typed out in a matter of seconds, and never was meant to be very serious. As it is, it was stated as a rant, but the flaming I get is more than enough. What is faith you say. Faith in the beliefs of human civilisation, the existence of God, faith that the one will finally come down to Earth one day, to give us his blessings.
Faith that the world of physics will never let you down, the clogs in the clock will turn as it is supposed to be. Faith that the apple wil still drop from the tree, and not glide to the ground.
Faith.
Belief.
Human Thought.
In essence, all your comments have just easily proven my point. What set us from other little animals. We have faith and we have beliefs. We have Gods. There are no known Gods in the animal kingdom except us. We dont see chimpanzees killing their own children to lay sacrifice and we certainly do nto see hamsters doing elaborate artifacts or totems. They are simply not capable of that.
Are we exists from the creation of God, or are we simply a craetion of chance - granted, this we will NEVER EVER know. Why do we even bother? Because we are distinct, we needed to have a creator, and that comes the absurdity.
We're really just creatures who have nothing much better to do. Animals try to procreate and survive, but we have conquered that barrier (at least at the more developed countries). So we tend to have more requirements, requirements that edge on the spectrum of incongruence.
*Disclaimer: Another rant.
**Note to Niki: Just as you think that I am soaked in Science, you are too, soaked in Religion. Because of that, you cannot see that i'm not, and you can argue that i'm the one who can't. However, I'm sure the onlookers are better able to judge it. Maybe we all are.
***2nd Disclaimer: Above note was also rant. Nothing personal.
Daily Activities. I have a few aims now really.
1. Get the PS2 Action Replay MAX EVO to work. But it really requires a high TOC CD/DVD or a good modchip (which i think the current modded PS2 is not). The thing about Sony is they check whether your CD/DVD is pressed. Original DVDs are pressed not burned. That is why our burned DVDs never work unless its a modded PS2 or you can use a swap. well, probability is I cannot get it to work.
2. Sit and meditate for 1 hour. Kendo discipline.
3. Golf.
4. Cook.
5. Game.
6. Cycle.
7. Work is certainly not in the list, but I have my qualms. (yeh, we know).

Where are our mindsets?
It's always in the night, just before you sleep, one might say you think clearest at that moment. coincidentally, the other time which you will think clearest, is also when you wake up and had a good breath.
In this competitive world, we struggle and fight for our bread and our right to survive and speak. But even as we do so, we lack the thing that defines us as humanity. We are able to separate our physical from our mentality, yet this is also not possible. Once we were primates, lead by our instinct for warmth and future generations, now we are lead by the same instincts, but mutated - the need for money.
Money grants us our instinctive needs, but that clearly defines us as what we have always been, animals. We are but animals. We are not any different from the hamster you have in your cage, nor are we any different from the birds that soar free in the sky. Yet because we have a distinct thought, a consciousness, why are we still animals, unable to advocate our own principle thoughts and mentality?
In fact, we are entirely capable of being unique. It is those who are up in the career ladder who are the ones who are capable. It is because they have all stayed true to their principle, their own technology, and thus harvesting on that, they are able to emerge a winner. Why are the workers always remaining a low ranked workers?
That is a balance of the society. For every employer, there are 1 to 1,000 employees. The distinct difference between the 2, usually is their mindset. While the employer functions as a single entity, the employees function as a cohesive ant-mind. The latter thoughts interact and influences greatly with each other, frequently persuasive and requiring the attention of each other. The top however is another new class.
Regards - Just a Rant, trying to be sophisticated, but holes of discrepancies are easily found.

The Police 「警察」

finally got back my camera. After years of waiting in hopeless despair. Actually I didnt really care, but still got a surprise this morning (and that Irene woke me up to give me this good news.) Anyway, it was a big tour of Singapore. Raffles City Shopping Centre DBS -> Concierge -> Outram Park Police Cantonment Complex. Special thanks to Irene@DBS, Guy@Concierge, Rozi@Police Cantonment Complex, Guys@Store. The pouch was returned with extra stuff inside, a raffles city KEY, and a card-wallet. Call me if you lost such stuff - 96987302.

Movie Review - XXX2
Went watch XXX2 ystd whilst apply for job.
*Disclaimer - Spoilers Inclusive (VERY LITTLE)
Great Show. 3 Reasons why it is good :
1. Lots of Action, Explosions
2. They all got attitude
3. Subtle (well not really) attack at George Bush's stupidity
(plus, the shot at the white house really made the show more enjoyable, dunno why)
1 Reason why its a bad show :
- The odds are defying gravity. :(
Overall rating : 4 / 5, very worth watching
